(The Law of Peace and War by Hugo Grotius)。世界上沒有人希望戰爭,但在台灣的人不會在那裡乖乖地等死。看看蒙古、新疆、西藏、香港,不都簽了和平條約,結果呢勞改營隨時等著伺候。從俄侵烏戰爭看到,Crying won't give you Freedom. Only Fighting will give you respects. Winston Churchill said: Nations which go down fighting rise again, but those which surrender tamely are finished.
In this year’s local public office election in Taiwan, all votes were cast on November 26. It ends up the votes revealed that the KMT won by a large margin, the DPP is in serious decline, and the TPP has made a breakthrough. The NPP gains much less than before. The TSU nominated 5 elected 3, not bad, Congrats! In the index county and city chiefs, the KMT won 13 seats and lost 2 seats from the original 15; the DPP had 5 seats and lost 2 seats from the original 7; the TPP had 1 seat and had no seats in the past; Non-Partisan 2. Due to the loss of Keelung, Taoyuan, and Hsinchu, the DPP has completely lost in Northern Taiwan. Moreover, Tainan City and Pingtung County in the south are only slightly ahead, and Chen Chi-mai in Kaohsiung City has not reached one million votes. Defeated, to be taken to the cleaners, as the saying goes, fiasco.
There are various interpretations of why the ruling DPP suffered such a severe setback. Generally speaking:
1, The nomination of one voice has caused the party to resist badly. The party center decided to be nominated by the chairman, sowing a backlash among some of the nominees.
2. Lin Chih-chien's thesis failed to stop the bleeding in a timely manner. The society uses strict standards to examine, the qualifications of the five-star mayor and municipal construction projects.
3. Chen Shih-chung bears the slander for the failure of COVID-19 prevention. Medigen COVID-19 vaccine has not been certified for a long time, and vaccinators have been criticized for being unable to travel abroad.
4. The main strategy of the election campaign deviates from the expectations of voters. Voters pay more attention to people's livelihood issues such as food, rice, oil, and salt, rather than indicators of national identity.
5, The high-profile targeted on Ann Kao, Lin Zi-miao, Hou Yu-ih have not been effective. The media mainly focused on Ann Kao's petty cash account, Lin Zi-miao's lawsuit, and the failure of Hou Yu-yi's potential presidential election have missed the boat.
6, The campaign policy fails to consider the hardships of people's livelihood. Young people are exhausted by high housing prices, and military service makes young people think twice about going to the battlefield.
7. The ruling party bears the inflationary impact of the pandemic. Taiwan's masks are indeed eye-catching, but they are overwhelmed by the lack of vaccines, high inflation, and people's livelihood.
8. Failure to touch the recognition of the younger voters. In the past, the younger generation supported it, but this time they are not interested in the 18-year-old voting rights referendum.
9. The halo of superstitious referendums and by-elections still exists. The by-elections, recalls and referendums that followed the presidential election have all but faded.
10. Conspiracy and flanking will only increase cracks and rebounds. The podcasts and online talk-show each have their own opinions and arguments, and it is inevitable that sparks will burn their comrades.
Even though the DPP has many deficiencies and needs thorough reflection, review, and improvement, as a political issue in a democratic society, the people's vote, which is the last line of defense of arbitrating democracy and the rule of law, is not appreciated, worrying, and regrettable. Hsinchu mayor elected Ann Kao was accused of falsely reporting the assistant fee of the Legislative Yuan before the election. The county magistrate of Yilan has been prosecuted by the District Prosecutor's Office for her involvement in the case, but both were elected with significantly high votes.
The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council of China even made a sarcasm saying that the result of the 9-in-1 election reflects the mainstream public opinion in Taiwan of "seeking peace, stability, and a better life." China will continue to unite most Taiwan compatriots to jointly promote the peaceful and integrated development of cross-strait relations, improve the well-being of compatriots on both sides of the strait, and resolutely oppose Taiwan independence and secession and interference by external forces, and jointly create a united front term for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and a bright future. Is this the latest public opinion that Taiwan wants to convey to the global international community?
In fact, the results of this election campaign have already been concluded. The most admirable one is the professor at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Yoshiyuki Ogasawara. He released the prediction exactly one month before the election on October 25 at his FB: DPP 5, KMT 15, TPP 1, Non-Partisan 1.
Its forecast is roughly as follows:
◎ (the possibility of being elected is very high), 〇 (the possibility of being elected, but the lead is not large), △ (the possibility of a comeback win).

Yoshiyuki Ogasawara believed that the people of Taiwan are wary of the dominance of political power. The result of this election is that because the DPP seems to be relatively dominating, voters realize that they need to strike a balance. In an interview with Japan’s Yomiuri Shimbun, he pointed out that the result of Taiwan’s 9-in-1 general election was a disastrous defeat for the DPP. However, the structure of President Tsai Ing-wen’s government has not changed, so the loss of local elections has not changed Taiwan-China relationship and other major policies.
Before the election, key figures in the blue camp, such as Ma Ying-jeou, advocated to vote for the DPP means the youth go to the battlefield, and to vote for the KMT there is no battlefield on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, inducing voters to choose peace and reject war. However, the Ukrainian war clearly told Taiwan that cowardice, submission, and surrender would only lead to being ravaged and exploited through labor camps. Under the established policy of the CCP, keep island and kick out all islanders, just as the Chinese ambassador to France, Lu Shaye, said that Taiwanese Reform through labor and re-education. He also criticized the Tsai government of the DPP for fighting against PRC to protect Taiwan without hesitation, and really using the people as straw dogs to prepare for the jihad of Taiwan independence? What the government should tell the people is: "They can make peace, not boast that they can win a war. Don't forget that as long as the gun is fired, Taiwan will not only lose, but also completely destroyed." It is singing nonsense, What a BS!
This is really a strange world, absurd rhetoric, and now someone does not blame the aggressors who initiate violence, but instead blames the victims who defend themselves. Outrageous, ridiculous! China keeps saying that Taiwan is an inalienable part of it, please show evidence, otherwise shut up and stop talking. Xi always think that what is mine is his, and everyone is going rich together, what a ghost fight. To talk about the status of Taiwan, please read: Minutes of the 530th meeting of the UNSC, the San Francisco Peace Treaty, the Treaty of Taipei, the Shimonoseki Treaty, and the Law of Peace and War by Hugo Grotius in 1625. No one in the world wants war, but people in Taiwan are not waiting to die by massacre. Look at Mongolia, Xinjiang, Tibet, and Hong Kong. Haven't they all signed peace treaties, and as a result, labor camps are waiting to be served at any time. Seen from the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Crying won't give you Freedom. Only Fighting will give you respects. Winston Churchill said: Nations which go down fighting rise again, but those which surrender tamely are finished.
This 9-in-1 election has indeed presented Taiwan, the US, and China with a test question. Taiwan's rulers cannot take it for granted, continue to be ambiguous, and use the ROC Taiwan to deceive the world. It is naive to think that it can be both deceiving and beautiful. You must know that Taiwan of the ROC is equal to Taiwan of China. Isn’t that just sending Taiwan to China? No wonder China is always coming to bully Taiwan. Because according to UN Resolution 2758, the ROC has long been inherited by the PRC. I advise you to stop deceiving yourself and others. Taiwan is Taiwan. It is by no means a part of China. It does not belong to the PRC nor the ROC. Is the US also going to amend the TRA to recognize the ROC?
KMT won the 9-in-1 election, they will soon strengthen bilateral interaction with China. Now that the DPP is in power and insists on the name of the ROC Taiwan, how can it be restrained and restricted? Don't forget that countries around the world that love democracy and freedom all support Taiwan's democracy and independence, not ROC. But if the rulers of Taiwan cannot be sure that they are Taiwan and not a part of China, then there is nothing they can do. It is hoped that this 9-in-1 election will awaken the conscience of those in power, and within a limited period of time, determine Taiwan's due legal status in the international community, and declare to the international community that Taiwan does not belong to China. Only in this way can we effectively unite the Taiwanese at home and abroad, the US and the world, and work together to resolutely resist the hegemony of Emperor Xi of China.
Don't forget that the USMG is Taiwan's principal occupying power authorized by the San Francisco Peace Treaty after WWII. In terms of the TRA, the US only recognizes the governing authority on Taiwan and does not recognize the exiled government of the ROC. However, the rulers still regard themselves as ROC Taiwan. No wonder the House Speaker of the US Congress, Pelosi, pointed to the portrait of Sun Wen when he visited and asked, “who is it”. At this moment, because of Xi Jinping’s zero-COVID policy, the deadly blaze at Urumqi apartment on November 24 triggered protests, and the white paper revolution instantly responded to the whole country. China is in full swing, fighting for freedom, wanting democracy, the resignation of the Communist Party, and the call and yell of Xi Jinping's resignation. But I don’t know whether these KMT, the newly elected county and city officers in the 9-in-1, want to support the Chinese people’s anti-communist, or choose to continue to be loyal to Emperor Xi?
I hope that the people of Taiwan can pay attention to the current situation in China, and support and respect each other with the Chinese who love freedom and democracy. Join hands with international friends all over the world on the road of upholding freedom and democracy. The 9-in-1 election tested the Taiwanese people’s will to uphold democracy and freedom; re-examined the U.S. policy toward Taiwan; the white paper revolution Chinese people resolutely denied the zero-COVID policy at the right time, questioned who the KMT officials supported, and blocked it even more severely the big daydream of the emperor Xi.
